A Lot to Learn About Snake Boots

November 13, 2009

Well one thing life teaches you is that no matter how much you know, there’s always more to go and find out.  While this is something that might be expected when you’re dealing with technology and crap like computers, this might be a little bit stunning as far as news goes when looking at snake boots.  This is something that you wouldn’t think would change all that much, but more companies get involved and then they make more products and next thing you know, there’s plenty more added to the conversation and you learn or fall behind.

At one point Chippewa and LaCrosse were more or less the only game in town when it came to protecting your feet from venomous snake bites, but that changed quite some time ago and continues to.  Rocky, Irish Setter, RedHead, and Dannar are just a few of the names of companies who also make quality snake boots now.  I’m sure there are several others that I’m missing, but these are enough to show just how big a market this has become.

Turns out I’m not the only one who is terrified of snakes 🙂

Quite a large market out there, and it has to make you wonder how many are jumping in for the short term, and how many snake proof boot companies are going to be around just for the short term.  I would wager that based on how important reputation is here, and that the fear of venomous snakes isn’t going to just disappear anytime soon, that most of these companies will stay around and be healthy as long as their products give people the protection they want.
